Default What should Cardinal Nation do?

From Gordo...on stltoday.com

Criticize La Russa if you choose, because he has that coming. Though he has led an exemplary professional life in St. Louis, he can’t expect anybody here to give him a pass.

But anybody who consumes alcohol must check themselves on this very important matter.

On a given night of a Cardinals home game, how many fans head home from Busch Stadium with 0.093 blood-alcohol level or worse?

On a given night out, how many of us drink irresponsibly? How many of us have one too many beers, one too many glasses of wine, one too many cocktails?

How many of us, at some point in time, would have failed a field sobriety test?

Also, how many of us have been touched by a drunk driving tragedy? How many of us have lost a friend, a neighbor or family member to this scourge on our society?

This is one of those incidents that gives everybody pause for thought. We expect Tony to learn from it -– and hopefully many of us will do the same.

The more often you drive drunk, the more often you are likely to cause an accident... or more fortunately just get caught. I bet this was not a first for Tony. Probability says he has done it often. Cant say for absolute certainty. But I betcha he has failed to call a cab on numerous occasions.

Nice...great imagery taking place at this moment. Just think of all the new signs a manager could give with the tail on the coonskin hat!

here, i'm not really trying to make fun of this situation but this was kind of funny....
----------------
Much of the crowd of 7,353 offered La Russa a standing ovation when he entered Roger Dean Stadium before Thursday's game against the Florida Marlins.

"That was a very nice gesture when the game started," La Russa said.

Marlins ace Dontrelle Willis, arrested three months ago in Miami Beach on a DUI charge said: "He'll be fine. He didn't seem that upset. He came out there and supported his team. You heard the ovation he got."
