Any idea what Asiatic Boy's future plans are after the Derby on the DWC undercard?

Asiatic Boy is a Southern Hemisphere 3yo, which means he is considered a 4yo in North America - he had to give Day Pass 4 kilos (almost 9 pounds) in order to make up for being 6 months older. In Argentina, his best run was a second in a G1 race for 2yos at 1600m on turf last June (end of the racing year for 2yos - they turn 3 on 1 July).

so what are you saying ann, that he wont be that good, because i dont think he will be very good either.. i dont think this is a race to get to hyped over....
also day pass beat a weak maiden field, and then came back to beat another weak field in the nasua... sightseeing ran second... what has he ever done ?
so i also question what Asiatic Boy beat today ?

I'm saying he wasn't that super in South America, not like Invasor was; I'm not even sure if he was even a stakes winner at listed level - maybe he was, can't get the Dubai PPs to come up. And this crop of Argentine 3yos may not be the best they've had, because a colt from Brazil (where dirt runners are second-class citizens) won their Derby, the first time a foreign-trained horse has done that in over 120 years of racing.

You started this thread not even sure if Day Pass was running today, and wanted to find results. Now after finding out that he didn't fare well today you inform us that he didn't beat anything in his maiden win or in the Nashua.
Question, why did you begin a thread with the intent of seeking out results of a horse you don't think much of? That seems like an odd thing to do.

Now you even go as far as saying that you don't think Asiatic Boy is any good either and that he beat nothing today. Do you even know who he faced today other than Day Pass? Did you even watch the race?

also in horse racing today it seems like your either a super horse or you stink it dosent seem like there is much in between, i dont mean to say bad horses.. i just feel neither is very good. day pass might be a good sprinter miler type, and the other one i doubt will ever win a grade 1-3 race

I may be wrong here, but wasnt that 2nd place finish as a 2yo his last start in Argentina. He didnt have a chance to compete in the classics down there!

Yet once you found out that he didn't do well, you started to downgrade him and say he didn't beat much in his prior races.

Just curious why you didn't say anything about how you felt about him until after you knew how he did today. It sort of looked like you were keeping your options open so to speak.

Once you knew he was beat then you felt comfortable telling everyone that you didn't think much about him.
