Default At the Post Live - Saratoga Radio Show

I'm really excited to have Allen Jerkens and Jerry Bailey on this week's show. If you're in town, it's from 9 to 10pm at the Parting Glass. It's also on ESPN 104.5 ( you can listen on their website http://1045theteam.com/ as well ). It is not archived, unfortunately, so you only get one chance.

I hope people get a chance to come by or at least listen. There's only one Chief.

Should be awesome. For next year you should look into the possibility of archiving/podcasting your show. I try to listen via the stream but unfortunately that hasn't always been reliable.

Hail to the Chief!

Was enjoying the Bailey interview up to the part when they were discussing the fantastic running of the 1984 Met Mile. Fit To Fight went on to win the NY Handicap Triple Crown. Then I got a Blackberry message from work and spent about 40 minutes dealing with a silly issue.

Just got home. A+ show. A+ crowd. Place was packed w/ racing fans.

Great service from the folks at The Parting Glass.

And thanks to Ed Stanko who let us sit w/ him as - standing room only for much of the night.

Great show Andy. Well done all around.

Thanks. I am glad people got a chance to enjoy it. It was a magical night.

Next weekend is Lukas and Pletcher, on stage together. It will be an amazing way to end the season.

Default Great show

Fantastic show Andy. It was an honor to be able to hear the Chief's vast racing knowledge and stories in person. Great job doing the interviews as well. Can't wait for next week.

Default Serling Interviews Jerry Bailey

Was able to catch it at Parting Glass and know it was filmed but not sure if it was put on the internet. Must see if it was. Never heard a jockey be so open and honest being interviewed.

Part went something like this:

Andy: When you came to New York it must have been difficult, that jockey colony was loaded.

JB: Back then I was too.

Sure would like to see his show next Thurs. with Pletcher and if I remember (it was the Parting Glass) Mott except the bar is a hell of a commute from Chicago.

Thanks.

Thursday night is Lukas and Pletcher, on stage together. It should be pretty great. I told Wayne today he got good karma for agreeing to do the show.

The 5th season kicks off this Thursday, 7/21, 8pm to 9pm from the Parting Glass and http://1045theteam.com/ over the internet and radio.

The first week's guests are Christophe Clement, Julien Leparoux, owner Sol Kumin ( Lady Eli, Exaggerator, Wavell Avenue, etc. ), and Gabby Gaudet.

I hope some of you get a chance to come by at some point this season. I am even contemplating having Byk on some night this year, assuming it's not past his bedtime.
