It's wild the way this race has taken shape over the last five days.

Sorry but, The only time Alpha runs a great race, it is IN NY, he never lifts his feet out of state, just like Stay Thirsty, but put him on a Ny track and watch out.....

I just chalked up his Saratoga win to a wet track.

That's usually the case with McLaughlin horses. Other than Dance Card, his horses stunk it up at the BC again.

Agree he has a shot. He is facing a bunch of stretch out sprinters and a woman who wasnt pointing here and may have ran her last big race at the BC.

I would argue that a lot of those big NY wins were against inferior competition, and that when Alpha had to face horses like Cross Traffic, Mucho Macho Man, Fort Larned and company, he simply wasn't good enough.

In the Woodward, he got a sloppy track that helped him defeat an aging Flat Out.

Groupie Doll has a shot. I underestimated her going into the BC F/M Sprint, but she might have needed a race or two to start the engines. I think Goldencents will be the winner though.

Personally IM against Goldencents and Groupie Doll, strongly against. There is certainly no Cross Traffic, MMM or Fort Larned in this group for Alpha to face.
