I was working for Drs Reed and Allen at Belmont when Gone West was a 2 and 3yo. Dr. Reed was the breeder, he owned Gone West's mother, Secretame, a Secretariat mare.

Wood Stephens was training him and Dave Donk was the assistant at that time.

He was big grand looking horse. He had a lot off personality as well.

Secretame passed just last year or so. A lot of old family lines are fading.

As I mentioned in the Angels thread, DT stables has a share of his legacy in Sumwonlovesyou.
