i echo onebadbeasts post as well steve.
analogy thou may seem a dramatic one to some. after listening to you on a daily basis and then all of a sudden your not there where we expect you, i had that feeling for a moment like when johnny carson retired from the tonight show and i felt a little more empty inside. given we knew it was temp and i know you which prob added to that sort of response inside given the dire situation and what you were going thru, i think some of us felt empty also. i know i did  i have to admit you had me in tears when you signed off yesterdays show. your mom is absolutly listening steve  glad to have the johhny carson of horse racing radio shows back!!!!!!  johnny carson for lat night tv=gold standard-steve byk for covering horse racing=gold standard don't want to sound to emotional on here or some will hand your head to you on a platter!!!!! but they can go..........themselves just glad to hear your voice again rog
