Default Aqueduct - Friday - 02/20/09

I think the card has some nice value plays tomorrow. Both Pick 4 sequences look very profitable and I don't expect dead lock singles on the card.

I am now working on some gigs with Canterbury Park this Summer and am very happy to have moved into the thoroughbred industry... I hope I can make a lot of friends down in Shakopee and help everyone out on this blog with some regular reports for Midwest handicappers.

Full SELECTIONS for AQUEDUCT at http://canterburyreport.blogspot.com. Checkout the simulcast director, Jeff Maday's blog at http://canterburypark.blogspot.com for regular updates on what's going on at the track.

Thunder Dan-

Good luck with new job. Havent checked your blog, so maybe that will answer my question. But I have one for you. You say that your best bet is the 7 in the 4th race, yet you go 5 deep in your pick 4 sequence ( and go 2 deep in the other 3 races). So I guess Im asking, by best bet- do you mean best value such as horse has legitimate chance to win @ ml odds, or most likely of all your selections to win.. Trying to get a better handle on crafting multi - race tickets, and have learned alot over the past year at DT.. Just trying to understand the thought process, not a shot at your ticket or post.. Thx.

Early stab. Thinking bias will be gone today. But take wait and see approach before diving in with $$

R2 - 4,5,7
R3 - 1,5,7
R4 - 1,3,9
R5 - 5,9
$54

Thought he presented the best value in the race with Migliore on him. Too bad I had to pay taxes on my pick 4.

I did not think he was a single in the race just thought he presented the most value. I stated in my earlier post that I didn't think there were any dead lock singles, but a lot oh horses who presented value.

Got screwed over by the mutuels manager because he thought I was going to get his job.

The general manager and him were buddies that came in from Tioga Downs so they got there way with me. I'll make it in this industry somewhere it is just going to take a lot of hard work on my part.

After I get married this May, I am going to dedicate myself 100% to making my opportunity at Canterbury as beneficial as I can make it.

I am still waiting to here back from their manager but he is a much better person and knows racing.

Running Aces will never make it. They act the same way Canterbury used to in the 80's and they folded originally. They don't care about the sport in Minnesota. Canterbury has really helped the racing industry in Minnesota and it is flourishing. They had a tough year in '08 but I expect them to rebound quite nicely as the economy strengthens.
