![]() From the article:
Quote:
In Pennsylvania, trainer Steph Beattie's 13 seperate steroid violations have her 8 violations in front of 2nd place. That's probably even more impressive than her 153-for-410 (37.3% wins) record this year. The only difference is that Steph Beattie racked hers up while PA had penalties in place - albeit not in full effect. Where So. Cal didn't. Still, even with them trying to give away the names without identifying them, it's very annoying how I read that and don't know who has the 17-to-11 lead right now. Whichever one of the two that has 11 really needs to step up - take their game to the next level - and string together a half dozen violations to make this thing an exciting race. |

![]() "Two trainers have been responsible for 70 percent of the violations for anabolic steroids at Hollywood Park and Del Mar," Arthur said. "The rest are a trainer here and there." Speculation that the racing board's investigators were at Sadler's barn looking into a steroid violation was fueled by comments made Tuesday at the medication committee meeting by Richard Shapiro, the chairman of the racing board. "Just look at the top of the trainers' and owners' list," Shapiro said while waving a sheet of paper. Sadler, Mullins and O'Neill are the Top 3 from Hollywood and Del Mar. Sadler tops at both. Mullins is 2nd at Del Mar. O'Neill finished 2nd at Hollywood Park. |
