Default Why would Arroyo leave New York for Suffolk?

Anyone know the reasoning why he left New York...I know he isn't a great jockey but he does get decent mounts regularly. Whats the logic in picking Suffolk? If he left New York a better idea would be Philly, Delaware, or New Jersey where they have nice purses and he would be a the top rider at any of these tracks. Just curious if anyone knew anything. Have caught some nice prices with Arroyo in the past.

Might be your answer here:

Jockey Norberto Arroyo Jr. has been out of action since last week, returning to Boston to care for his ailing father, Norberto Sr., who was once a sparring partner for one of the greatest boxers of all time, Roberto Duran. Arroyo last rode at Aqueduct on March 26.

4/3 edition of the Daily News.

Might just be easier to ride there while caring for his father.
