I imagine, like lots of the "insider" stuff on Animal Planet, and because it involves horses, it will be extremely popular, great for the sport, and encourage a whole bunch of renewed interest by folks that are now non- or marginal "racing fans" ** (and it will be one of the most popular AP shows in the female tween and teen demographic)
(**those nice people who think horses are pretty, racing is exciting, and would like more contact with the horse racing world, but are undesired and unencouraged by the TB community unless prefaced by the word, "gambling" and accompanied by $100 of disposable income.)
