Dont count this horse out just yet. I agree he is the need the lead type but those type of horses last longer and win more races than deep closers do like PYRO. This horse may not win the derby but he will earn more than his share of graded stakes when he gets older.

His first test came in the TB derby in where he was forced to rate. He failed that. His next test shall be in how he performs when he has a horse breathing down his neck. I beleive a great horse is determined on how he handles pace pressure. Previous to his TB derby effort, War Pass was uncontested early and was left to cruise home. What will he do when he has a slew of horses at his throat? Hopeully this will be answered in his next race.

i dont like war pass or pyro... but i would still take war pass over pyro if i had to pick one
