The only flaw about the claiming crown is that it's not back at Canterbury lol. I think they get it back next year though.

Yeah, it needs to be at Canterbury. Ellis will do a good job, but it just belongs at Canterbury.

We'll see what Ellis does with it this year. Should be an easy ship for most of the participants.

No offense, but the CBY has had no trouble with filling fields for the claiming crown. I will give you that Eliis is more easily located for shippers coming from the East Coast tracks, but with the exception of the biggest race (the highest paying one), the fields sizes have been pretty much full, with shippers from all over the country.

PMAY,

The difference is you have Maniac owners in KY who will drop a 60k horse in for 5 to win in their backyards. They probably wouldnt be so dead set on having a nice horse if it werent in KY. I think C'bury has done a great job in the past, however I think this year at Ellis will be superior quality stock. We will see.

I just want packed races with wide-open fields. CBY has brought that pretty well. If Ellis can bring it, than so be it. I look forward to it as much as any year, and I don't have to bump elbows with 15k others this year, since it'll not be at CBY.
