Default Imawildandcrazyguy

Apparantly truly wild & crazy

Bill Kaplan is on Capital OTB right now and said he was named because of the way he behaves and he was so bad they gelded him after his second day in the barn.

This is a really great interview by Bill and he has given full accounts of his Derby contenders. Personality quirks, working patters and future goals.

By the sounds of it, Drums of Thunder, is his polar opposite and is super friendly.

Bill Kaplan gave very frank interview with Mark Cusano and Mike Veitch this morning. I especially like his final words -- Drums of Thunder wins Kentucky Derby, Storm in May wins Preakness, and Imawildandcrazyguy wins Belmont. I hope to attend Louisiana Derby and see some of these contenders upclose.

Hard Spun dropped several notches last Monday. My tell was comment I read that Hard Spun didn't have any italics in his "in company" line. He had never faced any REAL competition. Also, only second time he'd been in field of nine or greater. Is he this year's Brother Derek? Guess OP Rebel will let us know soon.

There is a historical precedent if Imawildandcrazyguy wins the Derby. Just think of it like this. Notional will beat him head 2 head again in the LA Derby. But Imawildandcrazyguy will run a game 2nd to him. Then Derby day will come... and Imawildandcrazy guy in Funny Cide like fashion will beat his arch rival. Since he's gelded and he beats Notional who's looked better than him all the way up to the Derby, it would make sense. And then after, he'll win the Preakness, have no real chance at a Mile and a half, and won't be Breedable. He'll run mediocre the rest of his 3 and 4 year old career, before fizzling out. Then we'll start talking about how his connections will switch trainers (you know this subject has been drubbed up time and time again for Funny Cide, especially on the ESPN board), and a book about Imawildandcrazyguy... though written well, won't tell the whole story lol. My rant is done. Drug test: pending. But I think we really know that answer to that. Prolly why I'm having trouble fuinding work. Beavis bubbles Beavis bubbles
