We would call,in the Marines, these guys "light birds".They really hated it,too.We called them such because they were one rank below Colonel, known as a "full bird".Colonel's logos(=:>) are a big ol' birdie while L.C.'s just get a silver oak leaf.Thus the term,"light bird".
