The real question is how is a 106 BSF = to "
The race was run in a terribly slow 1:57.54 for 13 / 16 miles, one of the weakest runnings of the race ever. It was a prize for the taking — and Lukas was here to take it."

I realize final times have a proportionate amount of value to making figs ,but Beyer's take seems to have been it was a weak and slow race but the fig came back fairly standard for the Preakness.
So was it slow and weak or frankly average to slightly above average?
