Thanks Steve.
We certainly don't buy the most expensive yearlings and so they are often with pedigrees that aren't typical of getting them to the races early and most likely not until they are three years of age. Killer Bird is by Summer Bird and she was a very big young horse who got to the races midway last year when she was three and it is rewarding to have a trainer like Chuck who not only has a great eye in buying these yearlings at bargain prices but has the patience (something that I lack) to have them grow and wait until they are ready. Killer Bird ran a really nice race to win on Sunday and the good news is that we have a relatively fresh four-year old filly who is still eligible to improve and race the next 2-3 years before we retire her to the breeding side of the game.

Gelato Gal is a filly that we actually stepped up and paid a bit more at the Keeneland Fall yearling sale in book 4 or 5. She was one of the two best fillies according to Chuck in the sale on that particular day (both by Hat Trick) and has been training up to her debut which should be sometime later this month also at Gulfstream Park. She is bred for the turf being by Hat Trick and we are hoping she can develop into a good miler.

Oklahoma Den the old NY bred gelding is scheduled to run on April 9th as we are dropping him in class to find the right level.

We have recently retired Pennypennypenny and she is doing better after her last race and will look to breed her in Ocala next year.

Lastly, two mares that we raced awhile back Angry Dragon and Red Baroness (both by Smarty Jones) have their 2-year old NY bred colts sired by Frost Giant scheduled to be shipped from Ocala to Palm Meadows downs in May/June timeframe.

Thanks again
