If USC were to beat Notre Dame today and UCLA next week, as much as I hate them, they would deserve a shot. Yes, they've skated by all season and suffered a loss to an unranked team. But they've also beaten Arkansas (destroyed them), Notre Dame, and Cal so they would have more quality wins than any of the other contenders.

if michigan remains #2, than they should go to the national title game. and they should remain so, at least they should remain ahead of usc, due to who each one lost to.
has nothing to do with whether they 'deserve' a rematch. they were unlucky enough to have OSU on their regular season schedule. that fact should preclude them from a shot at the title? i don't agree.

but i don't think the outcome of game two would be different if they do meet again.

shame lsu couldn't pull it out at auburn, they'd be in the hunt. but, what can you do? just wait for next year. here's hoping they go to a bowl close by, so i can go...
