I sometimes wonder how much money churches and other 501(c)(3)s would raise if the big donors were no longer allowed to declare it on their taxes.

i wish the govt would finally treat churches for what they are, a business. churches should have to designate what's charity, and what's not. building a huge, fancy church to worship in is not charitable.
matter of fact, if one delved into it, you'd probably find that churches put only a fraction of their donated money towards charity, while most pays salaries, utilities, etc.
i hope the irs really cracks down on all the pacs posing as tax exempt groups.
