Seriously Cannon Shell- It's been literally 15 years since there's been a run producer like Morneau for the Twins. They didn't even have a guy in the so called "Juiced" era the past 10 years. A lot of guys had thei part in the great run the Twins had, but no one more than Morneau.

I'm not knocking Morneau I just think that he was probably the 3rd most important Twin behind Mauer and Santana. His stats were ok and he was not that compelling or was he clearly the catylst behind the Twins. I think that the Twins work in the regular season because of team defense, good pitching, strong bullpen, timely hitting. They are all pieces of a puzzle and to me Mauer and Santana were at least as big of pieces as Morneau. I thought that this was one of the toughest years to pick an MVP. I also believe that Albert Pujols was the NL MVP but I dont have a big problem with Howard.
