Not much has changed in that regard, the racing program has become a lot better and the pool sizes have increased, but still no slots, and they have enough trouble just timing a race...not to mention the morning line maker is still clueless.
However, Sam Houston does have 12% takeouts on all multi-win wagers (Daily double, P3, P4, and Pick 5) and with a 50-cent entry point. You also get occasional carryovers to work with.
No one is going to make anything close to a living by betting on Sam Houston ... but it's one of the easiest tracks to show a profit at.
Woodbine never would have cut their win takeout if Hastings didn't do it first.
I know some of the class tracks are handcuffed, but those rankings should be used as a way to help them convince the politicians that their draconian takeout rates should be shaved.
Freddy, wouldn't you like to bet Pick 4's with a 12% takeout and 50-cent entry point at the big tracks? The 50-cent entry point takes withholding out of the question and reduces IRS paper work ... you're MUCH better off having your winning P4 twice for 50cents than once for a dollar.

I would rather make money referring people to rebate shops that promote dog tracks like Sam Houston like Jeff P that fraud on PA
