They're good friends. It's a show for the morons. Obama was off his game probably because he had a bad round of golf that morning.

Romney was on top of his because his make-up crew did a fantastic job with the self-tanner.
I agree he doesn't want to be president. He wants the power, but not the job. He would outsource all decisions. He would have been a better W. to Rove-Cheney than W. was, as Rove-Cheney would have complete control over a Romney. Ann's comment on "worry about his mental health" was weird, too, but didn't seem to harm him last week.

Romney did look much better than Univision, but the lighting didn't seem to flatter either one. Romney looked sweaty and pasty for the first 15 minutes, until he got his legs under him, collected his thoughts and set off in the Gish Gallop. Then he owned the middle third of the debate. Totally took Obama out of his game with the repeated shotgun blasts of "that's not my policy" and the made-up-out-of-thin-air numbers and outright lies. Obama is a facts wonk and got bogged down trying to factually correct outrageous things like "Obamacare has Death Panels". It worked. Obama came back a little at the end, but Romney totally dominated the middle.

Obama doesn't respect liars, and you can tell Romney got to him with the nonstop smirk and the constant lies and denial of his positions in the middle.

Bullying Lehrer didn't sit well with the general public, but being a bully sits very, very well with the base Romney is trying to hold on to.
