My point, for those here that clearly missed it, was agreeing with Eastwood that we are responsible for what our government does. You don't have to vote Dem or GOP - but you have to participate in the political process, and ultimately vote.
Our government is exactly what we have chosen over the years. Bitching about it is easy, changing it hard, saying it's too hard to change is lazy.
Clint was elected Mayor as a Republican, describes himself as Libertarian at times, but supports environmental causes, believes in right to abortion, and helping the poor. Fiscally conservative, socially generous. He's basically an old-school "Eisenhower Republican"
