Riot I'm having such a hard time believing that you do not see why this is such a big issue.
Obama was first elected to the Senate when... 1997?
Any middle school aged kid knows if you're going to run for office your life is an open book.
He went to the Trinity Church for 20 years. Didn't he write that he wept the first time he heard Wright in church?
It's a big deal because it says something about his judgement, perception...
It still matters because we have a right to put him or any of our elected officials under a microscope.
It still matters because of the invidious rants, the venomous waste that this piece of **** ejaculated all over his congregation.
It matters because it reflects on him and if he didn't realize what the guy was saying who else will this happen with... which heads of state? How sacry a thought is that?
Our President called tea party members teabaggers and the Vice President used the term terrorists.
That is shocking me that either / both woud say such things about Americans.
The whole Rev. Wright thing is just one more thing that is both telling and alarming.
God damn America? I'm very offended by that and extremely confused by your posts to Pointman whereby you paint him as racist when so clearly he is not.
I have not fought with you. I don't believe I have ever disprespected you but some of the things you're suggesting... I feel like I can't help but to point out my take on it all.
I've always hated movies where the wrong guy is accused. Even as a kid they just bothered me.
So I'm reading this stuff every day and it's the same kind of sick feeling because I see him explaining himself, his ideas, speaking his heart and eloquently a lot of the time and his words get twisted up and knotted repeatedly and I think if it were me I'd get just as pissed.
It's a terrible accusation. He's not racist.
As far as the president goes I think his diservice to the country is epic.
Someone mentioned pro gay or anti abortion or whatever and to me the thing is there are two main concerns to focus on when deciding who to vote for for that highest office... the economy and national security.
Obama fails miserably in respect to both these things.
He gets a pass though while Bush is made to be some kind of war monger nutcase (?!).
The thing about Bush is after 9/11 if he hadn't acted on the intelligence he was given? He would have / should have been impeached.
He dealt with situations the likes of which no President has ever had to deal with before.
I can understand if there's no love for him but I do not understand the double standard that Pointman so rightly highlighted in terms of posters here and just in a general sense.
History will judge Obama harshly and I think he's, at the very least, a finalist for the worst President ever award.
Oh and I am not racist for the record but I have kept quiet down here for the past few years because you know if you knock him that is what happens... that's what some assume.
Terrible to have been afraid to exercise my first amendment rights but alas... that's the way it is.
Don't even get me started on that condescending, self-righteous, cheap clothes wearing trip taking gestapo-like phony baloney wife of his with her little garden and her food group plate (we were too stupid for the pyramid lol)...
