my son is in the navy....he went to DMV in charleston sc to get a motorcycle permit, as he recently bought a crotch rocket (yay). he had both his current drivers license, as well as his military id, also had his s.s. card. they still demanded other proof, so i had to overnight his birth certificate. for a mc permit.
and people from another country who are here without proper paperwork can get a work visa with less i.d. there's something very wrong here.

So you didn't understand the part about them being brought here illegally as children, so they don't
have all that stuff?
And this special program for children brought here as children is precisely
because they don't have all that stuff?

you're complaining they don't have the ID to prove they don't have ID?
