I would think Coolmore has got the Kentucky Derby bug once again after Master Of Hound's rallying 5th place finish last year. Daddy Long Legs is following a similar pattern, so it shouldn't be surprising they'll take their chances.
In addition, Scat Daddy is on an early roll as a stallion, so Coolmore will also be looking to try and add to his accomplishments.
Not sure the colt should be written off based on his Juvenile effort. Alpha, Drill, and Prospective ran as poorly as he did in that race, and all have since returned to win graded stakes races on the main track.
Daddy Long Legs' pedigree is strong for the dirt, besides multiple Grade 1 dirt winner Scat Daddy, the bottom side descends from top Canadian breeder Kinghaven Farm with several dirt stakes horses like Bruce's Mill, Ever Steady, and Texcess.
