we should not have spent all this time, obviously. the morons in the white house and congress who put us in this position made a mistake. making more mistakes on top of that doesn't make it any more palatable. we have wasted lives, ruined others, and spent billions upon billions for a country worth millions. some precision strikes at the taliban would have served a similar purpose without all the cost in blood and money. over ten years later, we're still doing what exactly?

Ten years ago today: President George W. Bush declared at a news conference that Iraqi President Saddam Hussein was a menace "and we're going to deal with him," and said Osama bin Laden had been reduced to as marginal figure in the war on terror.

How did that work out...
