I'll try again: WAY AHEAD OF YOU. READ THE SETTLEMENT. The money going to the states - in yes, civil penalties, money just for use by the states, not for the victims of the fraud, not for underwater mortgages, the exact monies are you talking about - are outlined in the settlement to be used for
housing-related losses/programs at the state level.
Not their general fund.
