The Republicans' heads are gonna explode. The two parties are so far apart, idealogically. He's certainly outlining Democratic principles far more strongly than he has done recently.
It's all bullsh1t. He's done a fairly lousy job and now he's back to campaigning. You'll hear him use Bush's name a lot more now; blaming his lack of leadership on what he "inherited."

What you wont hear is any talk about his health care "accomplishments" which was a total piece of sh1t legislation. He could have gotten just about anything through in the first 500 days but he sold out for the quick and easy score.

He's going back to the base because he's polling lousy in the middle and he lacks political courage. If he had any stones, he'd have proposed spending cuts of 2x what went through last week on top of his tax increase proposals.

No doubt he is saving the modest improvements in the economy and unemployment and the stock market recovery as his appeal to the independents for next year.

His speech was empty rhetorc. If he was going to end the Bush cuts, he'd have fought for it when he actually could have gotten it passed, not now.
