Well seeing how this is a special deal and all, my boss said I can knock 100 dollars off the price of that tru-coat for ya."
Jerry Lundegaard

See here. Just when I come to think Oracle is a total butt, he goes and makes a quote like this. That was a great movie.

Smokey Glacken detests being hit. Why in God's name does Javier C. keep whipping a horse and losing ground ??? the horse is waisting precious energy on a detrimental reaction to the whip. If I had a place bet on Smokey in that race I would not be happy. The prior race at Aqueduct, almost lost that race when the whip was used. The horse was flinching even after the whip was not used, expecting to be hit again. I realize the horse is very tired, but the horse does not like the whip. Ridiculous.
Does the jockey have to hit the horse or worry about being called out by the stewards??? because when this horse (S. Glacken) is tired, the whip is the last thing you want to use.
By golly as I watch other races the horse expects to get hit in the stretch and does not run as well. She gets tired, expects to be hit, and would probably buck the rider off if she was not so tired. A very fast Screwed up horse.
