If it's equal weight, and they're pretty much stickfigures, then, I can understand why they allow it. There's a range of genders. These are individuals that are pretty much approaching the center of the gender range. Some of them may have even been born with "ambiguous" genitalia, and had it clipped down to form just female-appearing parts. As you can see, they're competitive against males of the same weight. I guess, to make it even more fair, they can figure out a way to make sure females face someone with the same amount of muscle weight. If you take away at least some of the strength advantage, what's the problem?
