In terms of who gets in the BC fields, is it a mix of looking at 1st preference v. 2nd preference for cross-entered horses, and then the BC selection committee (or whatever they're called) ranks them with an also eligibles list for overflow fields? Do any other fields have overflow potential, and is there anybody on the outside looking in with respect to BC eligibility this year?
Here's a list of BC Challenge winners:
http://www.breederscup.com/challenge.aspx Some of them are out, and I'm sure others might not go to the BC race they got the 'win and you're in' for, but nevertheless there are guaranteed spots out there to be claimed. What's going on with Gran Estreno? They misspelled his name on the BC page. Technically he's in, but was he ever pointing to it? He won at 2000m at age 3 in a G1 in Argentina and is back to back in the Washington Park H. (G2).
