As hard as this horse (he's the 1A) hit the top of his head on the gate less than a week prior to his workout - I'm pretty surprised he didn't get a concussion.

horses have incredibly thick skulls and incredibly small brains...they shake off stuff that would have a human in the hospital. i would be far more concerned with a neck or back strain after something like that, than i would a concussion.
