Just a little side about how STUPID trainers are:
One of the analysts on the WO live feed spoke to the trainer of the 7, Trelawny before the race. The trainer thought that the reason the horse was such a quitter ('had bad luck', in her words) was because of the draws it'd been getting. Trelawny doesn't like to run INSIDE of horses per the trainer and the jock was instructed to put him OUTSIDE today. So, what happens? Well, Ramsammy is in the race so you know he's going to do his best to **** IT UP. Now, clearly, Trewlany is a QUITTER. Tonight, Ramsammy bust his 1ster out of the gate on top, with Trewlany 2nd BEHIND and INSIDE that one, and the 1A outside of Trewlany. The 1ster (#8) QUITS like a pig on the turn, Trewlany comes through INSIDE of him and draws off. So much for not liking to be inside of horses.
But even though the trainer is an IDIOT the real point is that Ramsammy gave this race to a quitter by gunning his horse out of the gate and doing the dirty work early. A horse that took quite a bit of money, as well.
