it would be his comments on the video he selectively edited that would get him in trouble. if she can prove he knowingly misrepresented the content of her speech and prove damages (getting fired?), she might have a case.
i'm not sure what venue the case would be brought in or the specifics of libel law in that state but it's not outside the realm of possibility. libel cases are really tough to prove if you're a public figure. but she wasn't. at least until he dragged her through the mud.
