Amusing typo in Bloodstock Journal
from today's Bloodstock Journal:
"The posted final time in Sunday's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (Fr-G1) at Longchamp was wrong by more than five minutes. "
Gee, you'd think someone might have noticed a 5-minute error before now! However, the article goes on to say...
"Blaming technical difficulties, authorities at France-Galop have officially changed the winning time from 2:31.70 to 2:26.30"
Looks like it was more than 5 SECONDS. You have to wonder what the writer was daydreaming about when he/she wrote "minutes".
Even 5 secs is pretty astounding, translating to approximately 25 lengths of difference!
