There's a replay on yahoo.com's front page that shows the play from seventeen different angles, and the linesman's flag never goes up, so the linesman had nothing to do with the play. The angle from behind the play that shows the ref shows he's blowing his whistle before Edu even touches the ball. I think FIFA should definitely be opening an invesigation of this - this is way more egregious than the Ireland-France Henry handball incident.

while i agree that it was a ridiculous decision, there are tons of players pushing and shoving each other on every set piece and the ref just has to see one to blow up.. as coach said, win and youre through -that shouldnt be hard
