Honestly, I don't give a sht.I only am following it because Gander seems interested in Houston. I don't care which one gets in.I guess I should be against the Cards(since they feasted on the Dodgers this year.)I guess the best thing for the DODGERS WOULD BE TO GET PUJOLS OUT OF THE PLAYOFFS.I am not telling Gander what I want to happen.I am just telling him what I think will happen.Fact is that the Astros will probably win 2(or less) this weekend.The Cards will probably win 1(or more) this weekend.This would mean that the Cards play that make up game.I don't think Houston sweeps Atlanta,and I don't think the Cards lose all 4 (already lost 1) to Milwaukee.I give Houston a better chance at sweeping than I do the Cards losing all 4 to Milwaukee.If Milwaukee just came in to town,I would give them a better chance of sweeping.It is hard to take all 4.The Dodgers needed to do that in '80.I went to the 4th one(the one day playoff for the division.)The Dodgers had won the last 3 games of the season at Dodger Stadium.Just needed to beat the Stros 1 more time.I was able to get good box seats between home and 1st.I will never forget that day.Up to that point,that day was the worst day of my life.I had seen the frustration of '74,'77,'78,and then '80.Fernando had just been called up.We had seen him pitch very little.I remember everybody wished we had started Fernando that day.I have tried to forget who started that game for us.I think his name was Grohl or something like that.We had signed him after he had a good year in '79.Whoever it was,they never pitched good after that day.Seems like he had pitched good for MINNESOTA,BUT IT MUST HAVE BEEN SOMEBODY ELSE.MAYBE BALTIMORE.Anyways,I regress.Fernando saved us in the 3rd game of the 81 series,and we finally had a Championship from the Garvey-Cey-Lopes-Russell group that I grew up with.Point is that it is hard to beat the same team on 4 consecutive days.
