Thanks for posting this Randall....we stop the insanity when people realize that having a horse is a responsibility!! I've seen this play out over and over again...Somer Frost was sold to the "killers" (meat buyers) and only because we were able to purchase her for the amount paid at auction is she alive today...but dozens of others were loaded onto the cattle cars that day...and every day since! Calledon was 400 pounds under weight and near death when rescued from a "killing field"...all he did was race through his 11th year, 79 races, a stake winner...yet left to starve in a barren field devoid of food or water! What kind of monsters do these things? Your neighbor, the old guy on the corner...any person who feels animals are nothing more than "property" to be disposed of in any manner that is convenient! We can stop this...don't buy into the "unwanted" argument, demand humane treatment for all animals...we owe them that!
