If a guy makes $100,000 a year and he gives $2,500 to a church and an additional $2,500 to other charities, that is a total of $5,000. I think you should count the whole $5,000. It's the endgame that counts, which probably screws us both. To tell you the truth, I enjoy the Left-Right debate, but at some point..and perhaps the charity donation tally is the line in the sand...you can't make everything political.
