sure they do. this is just another way of posing the 'who's better' question while giving reasons why the horse you prefer should win the award. it really has nothing to do with the award itself.
i just think down the road the discussion will turn to their individual efforts. the lack of this award for one won't mean much years from now. it certainly won't affect anyone here regardless of who wins.
