All I know is that we as fans all got screwed and the sport really got screwed out of seeing 2 incredible horses race each other in most likely their last racing campaigns.
Granted both Mr. Moss and Mr. Jackson raced their fillies against the boys in spots where many owners might have passed, but shame on them both and the NTRA for not coming up with the race that the entire world would have wanted to see. So the bottom line for me is who really gives a damn about an award that is going to go to an owner that pretty much has it all already and that screwed me and the rest of the racing fans around the world.
i have to agree 100%. who cares, its a bunch of people voting. it will be forgotten a day later. a race where both were entered would of been racing history. those awards are given by people that THINK they matter.
