Andy explained this "loophole" that NYRA has to fix. Otherwise you can kiss main track onlys goodbye. Doesnt really make any sense to declare this when you do what Biancone did. Barclay Tagg did this same thing at Saratoga with Auguri and it worked like a charm.

Actually, entering in the body of the race so as to not get stuck outside is pretty much only relevent in two turn races. In one turn races people would generally like to be outside.
I can assure you that Patrick did NOT want to be inside with Spanish Chesnut in this race.....turf or dirt. In this case I know this because of a conversation I had with him after the horse finished 3rd on opening day at Saratoga. We were talking and I said it was unfortunate that he didn't clear I'm the Tiger early and get over to the rail as it was a particularly strong inside that day. He then said that while he didn't disagree about the rail on this given day he wanted to keep Spanish Chesnut outside as he is the kind of horse that tends to take off if he is on the rail while he becomes more rateable outside.
