It came out to around 1021 dollars, along with a guys id, credit card, another credit/debit card. Believe you me I stood in the stall for a good 10 minutes, I thought about morality, integrity, character, what my parents have taught me. So painfully I went ahead and turned it in to the cashiers cage, I havent told anyone yet. Then when I got home and saw my parents I didnt feel stupid, foolish, or regret, I realized I had done the right thing for once. Now I feel better the more I think about it, but god that was so hard.

Seattle, You did the right thing. I'm proud of you. There is only one thing that I think you should have done differently. I think you should have written down the guy's name and tried to contact him. That way you could make sure that the cashier did in fact give the guy his wallet back and that the whole $1021 was still in there. What would prevent the person in the cashier's cage from taking some cash out of the wallet? Another good reason to call the person was because he may have given you a reward and I think you deserved one.
