One thing to do there maybe was key your 1 on top for $2 ($12 and your strongest opinion of the race); Key 1 in 2nd with the 2-6-9 for $1 ($6 and a cover if the 1 faulters); Added cover box of 2-6-9 for $1 ($6 and a hedge if 1 doesn't fire).
"Only" brings back $82.10, but better than knowing you capped well and losing $24. You still would have been paid well.

Initially I took the directions as one wager, and I have stuck with that format. Did I read the directions wrong? It seems everyone is just using it as a $24. budget. Regardless, thank you for your insight.
