1. You dont have to rush the horse back in 2 weeks for the Preakness, the horse would get about 6 weeks rest.
2. Instead of trying to become the 12th Triple Crown winner in history, the horse would be trying to become the first Kentucky / Epsom Derby winner.
3. I'm sure it would have worldwide coverage and be good news for the sport.

Would take an incredibly turfy horse for anyone to ever consider it. You'd be the heavy favorite to take down a $1 million race and then have the spotlight on you going for the first Triple Crown in over 30 years. To possibly give that up you'd have to feel like you were 1/5 to win the Epsom Derby and I can't see anyone ever liking their horse's chances that well overseas on the turf.
