If Michael Stoute's horses were in better form, I'd really consider having a large bet on Tajaaweed. Big things were expected of him last year, but he's a big bull of a horse and will surely only continue to improve with age.
I was really impressed with him at Chester last year. I know it wasn't a great race, but for a horse like to him to win around a track like Chester shows he has bags of class. He didn't seem to handle the track at Epsom (like many big horses) and I'm not convinced he saw out the 12furlong trip, either. However, he finished mid pack and wasn't beaten too far in the end.
He was a bit disappointing on his final start at York, but the ground was pretty quick that day and given his size, I doubt he liked it very much. Easier ground in France will be very much to his favour.
Like I say, the major concern is the form of the Stoute horses, he has had a few winners but many fancied horses running no sort of a race, too.
