Some of it's lazy writing, but some of it's a choice. Like this following situation:
"Fck reality, you wanted her to have her say."
Now, I am not going to put a period after "reality." That's a choice I made, because people don't talk that way. I know it's technically incorrect, but I don't want a complete separation there. I want a slight pause there. It's not a perfect set of rules. That's just my opinion of it.
