i'll ask him in march, he's out at sea right now and unreachable. but i think he'd be more concerned about where obama would send
him, rather than where obama would show up.
btw, seems the dems have always been accused of being less than affectionate towards our military-this won't necessarily endear obama to his armed services. but i think it may have been a miscalculation, not just an outright attempt on his part to slight anyone. i can see where going to that ball would appeal to biden, rather than obama.
