Also, since Vallenzeri is not exactly bred to be a hotshot 2yo (or even an early 3yo type) it means that the potential buyer would have to wait that much longer for Azeri's strength or weakness to show. From a buyers point of view, I'd like to see a mare with a 2yo by Speightstown or other "2yo sire" because there is a greater chance that early wins by that foal make the one the mare is carrying more useful and therefor more valuable at auction.

Remember too that the market was not kind to mares like Winning Colors and Lady's Secret after their early foals were not that good. If Azeri's first 3 or 4 foals struggle at the races do you think tht her 5th (born when she's about 17) will sell for a lot of money? I don't.
Yeah I know all about Sky Beauty and the frogs she spit out but Maplejinsky and her line which is reasonably close to Sky Beauty did great work... I just hated Ashado thought she was a Pletcher chem job that never distinguished herself as anything special and i am glad the shiek has her.. She will eat well have the best medical care and hopefully never toss anything from her chemically infused body..lol
