The most important thing for me to raise my ROI was meticulous record keeping. This enabled me to find out two things about my betting strategies.
1. Which tracks I can make money at and which tracks were eating my bankroll.
2. The type of wagers that best suited my handicapping style.
If you're not sure what type of player you are (WPS, verticle or horozontal) record keeping will quickly show you the way.
Stick to the tracks/meets (and wagers) that you are more profitable at and have the discipline to stay away from the tracks (and wagers) you don't do well at.
